PULSE is a fantastic drumming and percussion group. It gives young people the chance to develop their artistic and performance skills through working with professional artists from Guildhall Connect and the Barbican’s joint network of local, national and international artists and workshop leaders. PULSE uses drumming as a tool to inspire people creatively, give them confidence in their ideas and empower them to direct their own futures. Originally it started as a large-scale creative collaboration between the Barbican and the Guildhall School eventually becoming Drum Works. PULSE have performed in New York, Johannesburg and The Hague!
Jazz Band is led by Trumpet player Sam Warner. Sam has played the world over from Glastonbury to New York. Jazz Band have performed all over the world, including New York, Madrid, The Hague and Iceland and performed at many great festivals including the Cultural Olympiad BT River of Music.
