AKA DJ LOCKSMITH

Rudimental are an English electronic music quartet who are signed to Asylum Records and independent label Black Butter. The quartet consists of songwriters and producers Piers Agget, Kesi Dryden, Amir Amor (Amir Izadkhah) and DJ Locksmith (Leon Rolle). The group rose to prominence in 2012 when their single “Feel the Love”, featuring singer John Newman, topped the UK Singles Chart, and for which they were also nominated for a BRIT Award in 2013

MITCHELL
CHARLES

AKA DJ CHARLESY

DJ Charlesy hit the limelight when he was first signed by Tinie Tempah as his official tour DJ back in 2010, playing large stadium gigs in the UK and internationally. Since then, he’s recently toured with Bugzy Malone and has gone on to become the resident DJ and curator of the Disturbing Ibiza parties, before expanding into the Dubai club scene.

 

London-born DJ Charlesy is the host of 1Xtra’s Friday night mix-show bringing the party vibes to get the UK ready for the weekend.

 

“So happy to be joining the Radio 1Xtra family - can’t wait to be a part of the station that is forward thinking and is a solid part of the culture. Looking forward to bringing my take on what a Friday night should sound like!”

TRISTAN HACKNEY

RECORDING ENGINEER AND FILM MAKER

Tristan Hackney’s passion for audio and film has been the driving force behind countless projects recently winning 2 awards and a further 5 nominations.

In video credits include Panasonic, Nyetimber, LSO, Tatler, Floris, Rosenblatt Recitals, Royal Opera House, Mad Cow Films, Isla Negra, Department for Transport and Durex to list a few. In AUDIO credits include The Way Studio, Black Barn Studio, The Dairy Studios, West Point, RAK and Pinewood Studios to name a few. As an in-house engineer At The Way Studio, Tristan has been working for clients including: Katy B, Mark Ronson, U2, Noel Gallagher, Incognito, Tinchy Stryder, Mclean, Mulatu Astatke, Paul Weller, Linda Lewis, Future Sound of London, Alice Russell, Jamie Woon, The Correspondents and many more spanning a wide range of genres.

MAX TAYLOR

BASS PLAYER

Max Taylor has accompanied singer Mika on albums and international tours since 2012, playing bass and contributing vocals.

He also toured with British rapper Roots Manuva during this period, and Max had the opportunity to collaborate with many different artists and bands, such as Groove Armada, Tom Vek, Rae Morris, Melanie C, and also CocknBullKid.

He has also played bass for Lily Allen and Fryars. In 2012, Taylor met Mika, and recorded bass for him on a few songs from his album "The Origin Of Love", which included a collaboration with Pharrell Williams on the song "Celebrate".

 

Taylor joined Mika's band for the album's promotional tour. He played bass and accompanied Mika on vocals.

Taylor accompanied Mika for 8 years on tours all over the world, in places such as the Temple of Jupiter in Baalbek, Lebanon and the Maison symphonique de Montréal, Quebec.

KENNY
MUKENDI

Kenny got to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama to study BA (Hons) Performance & Creative Enterprise. As well as an exciting academic path Kenny made appearances in Grammy Winning Music Videos, including Sam Smith and Fatboy Slim, as well as commercials for New Balance, Adidas and KFC and various TV shows. He was also involved in backing vocals for live shows including X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent! Sadly Kenny passed away in 2018. He was much loved and is missed by everyone who knew him.

MUSICIAN

HARRIET SYNDERCOMBE- COURT

VOCALIST

Harriet Syndercombe Court graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Brigitte Beraha, Malcolm Edmonstone and Lynda Richardson. She has had the pleasure of backing singing for Josh Groban and Rod Stewart at prestigious venues such as The Hammersmith Apollo, Hampton Court Palace and Twickenham Stadium. Harriet was also a member of the all female Beat-Box group The Boxettes.

SAM MOSSOP

INSTRUMENTALIST

During his time at Morpeth Sam became a multi-instrumentalist, playing trumpet, piano and drums. He was a regular member of Morpeth Philharminic Orchestra, Morpeth Jazz Band and his own school Rock band "Spectacles", all of which took part in many performances in school and abroad. In his final year at Morpeth he achieved an A* in A level music and ABRSM Grade 8 Trumpet. After leaving Morpeth he has gone on to study at Cambridge University.
