Nick Robinson

Music Coordinator

At an early age, Nick chose to learn the trumpet. This saw him join the school Orchestra as well as the Harrow Youth Concert and Marching band led by the highly regarded female trombonist Maisie Ringham. They performed regularly including the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Later, Nick took up the guitar, joining and forming many bands with friends at school. His professional music career started at 20 years old when he was signed to A&M Records and Rondor Publishing with rock band Stone Bird. They toured the UK and Europe supporting Rock Legends such as Motorhead, UFO and Saxon. Since then he has worked as a session musician with artists such as Gabrielle, Nelly Furtado, Stacie Orrico, Jack McManus, Kym Marsh and Laura Michelle Kelly plus many record and management companies including Universal, Virgin/EMI and Simon Cowell. Highlights for Nick were playing the Royal Albert Hall with Gabrielle supporting the legendary Al Green as well as performing at Hyde Park in front of 50,000 people with Nelly Furtado.

Nick has also been involved in writing for a number of library companies. His music has been used by the BBC, Channel 4, Dave, Netflix, The Discovery Channel and can be heard all over the world.

As well as sessions he also runs a number of very successful function bands and an entertainment agency. This has seen Nick perform in many prestigious venues the world over for clients such as British Airways, F1, Tesco and Sony.

Nick joined Morpeth School in 2009. He has a First Class Honours Degree in Music and Sound and is an Apple Certified Pro in Logic Pro Music Software.
